WritingsLet him know…

Written By: Kitten - Dec• 21•14

A friend of mine passed away last week. He leaves behind a 3 year old son. The child’s mother was killed in a car wreck the day after his first birthday. I wrote this poem about him.

Little boy, left all alone
Little boy, parents gone too soon
Left in the care of others who love him so
Themselves are grieving, yet try hard not to show
Little boy will grow, and questions he will ask
Questions concerning his unknown past.
Let him know he was loved. Let him know
Let him know they didn’t want to leave
Let him know it’s ok to grieve.
Let him know the truth, don’t hide the past
Let him know t he answers to the questions he will ask.
Mommy and daddy loved him then, and love him now
They watch over him and smile as he will grow
Guardian angels they are
Watching him from the stars.
Let him know his parents lived for him
Let him know his parents surround him
Let him know every day, he is loved
As his parents protect him from above. (788)
